Dog in boat
In Norway we often go on a boat trip in the summer. If you are also going on a boat trip with your four-legged friend, here is some good advice from someone who has just been on a sailing trip with their dog:
- It is hot, so enough drink is important, but then also more pee breaks, plan breaks.
- Remember to arrange for cooling and bathing stops, it can get hot under the lift jacket.
- When you are ashore it is nice to take walks and exploring new place.
- Even if it is a holiday it is nice for the dog to both play and train.
- Agree in advance for the dogs safety in strong seas. - And not least important with a lot of rest.
