This course provides the basic training skills you and your dog need for good cooperation in daily life and in animal-assisted services (AAS). Through short, practical lessons, you will learn core exercises that promote clear communication, structure, and predictable routines in everyday interaction. Suitable for those who: want a solid foundation for daily life with their dog work (or plan to work) with dogs in AAS You will learn: Reward marker – Teach a marker (e.g., YES or clicker) as a key tool for further training. Doggie Zen – Build duration and impulse control through open and closed hand signals. Head in lap – A calm contact exercise for AAS, grooming, and everyday situations. Go to mat – Teach your dog to go to and stay on the mat; supports calmness and rest. Follow the thumb – Guide your dog gently into position during handling or walks. Lead by the collar – Help your dog stay relaxed and cooperative when the collar is handled. Yield to touch – Teach your dog to follow light touch for calm movement and positioning. Course format: Practical videos and step-by-step written guidance Short sessions (1–2 minutes) suited to daily routines Focus on correct timing, clear criteria, and calm communication All exercises are based on positive training methods and clear, consistent signals.
